REPORT
ON BOOK PUBLISHING WORKSHOP
“Children are like the wet mud vessels, that can
be moulded into the perfect ones by the craftsmen called the books.” Books are
not only the best of friends but also the best teachers of students; and when
the lessons of books are combined with the activities extending beyond the
realm of classrooms, the learning becomes more effective, and our school firmly
supports it. With this initiative, some of the students of our school attended
a workshop on BOOK
PUBLISHING organised by the Cambridge University Press on 25th April 2016. Three students –
SACHIN SHARMA, HARSHITA PURI and AYUSHI MEHTA accompanied by MS. KOMAL CHAWLA
attended the workshop at the Indian
Habitat Centre where they were taught about the life journey of a book
that how it takes birth from the hands of the author and travels all the way
long to come to the reader’s lap. The students also shared their great
experiences and passed on the learning to their peer students. The students
were enthralled by the enrapturing workshop and were out and out inspired to be
the future authors and take more interest in reading various books, as well as
they understood the shining virtue of books, as it is very rightly said “A ROOM
WITHOUT BOOK IS A BODY WITHOUT SOUL.”
