PLAY BASED ON ‘HARD TIMES’

                                       
Ahlcon International School emphasizes on the importance of having a creative mind and emotional intelligence – the need to develop the whole personality and imagination of children through theatre in education. In the light of same, the school had organized a musical play ‘Hard Times’  based on Charles Dickens novel on 6^th May, 2016, in collaboration with ‘Khilona -A theatre for children’ group.. The play stressed that the wisdom of life acquired through Compassion and Imagination, is more important than the Education based on Facts and Logic. The strengths and weaknesses of education in the past were portrayed, which inspired teachers to find ways for the wholesome development of the present day learners.  It stimulated children to think differently, enthused them to find new solutions to complex issues, gave them an opportunity to learn through the rich experiences of others. Overall the theatre act emerged out as one of the most effective educational tools which left an invigorating and thought provoking effect on the audience and instigated the need of nurturing both, The Intuitive and the Reasoning mind for the escalation of these malleable minds. The show concluded with a vote of thanks by the Middle School Incharge, Ms. Dimple Puri and sharing of experiences by the director of the play.
