ANNUAL FUNCTION

Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar organized its annual day on the 27^th of December, 2014.  The theme for this year’s cultural extravaganza was ‘Nari- Sanskriti ke Panno se’ - an endeavour to laud and express gratitude to womankind across time, cultures and continents. 

The occasion was graced by Chief Guest, current Vice – Chairman of DDA, Mr. Balwinder Kumar, Mr. Parvez Hayat from PGCI, Santoor maestro, Pandit Bhajan Sopori and Mr. Sanjay Beniwal, Joint Commisioner of Police were the guests of honour. The dignitaries were welcomed by Principal, Mr. Ashok Kumar Pandey.

A soulful rendition of Rabindranath Tagore’s dance-drama ‘Bhanusingher Padavali’ was presented before an enthralled audience. The talented young dancers depicted various dance styles with exemplary grace and beauty.

A theatrical production based on the Durga Saptashati titled ‘Adi Parashakti – Maa’ was enacted on a grand scale. The chief guest, Mr. Balwinder Kumar exclaimed that the subject was difficult to tackle but was portrayed brilliantly with high caliber performances.

Chairperson, Ms. Rohini Ahluwalia’s emphatically appealed for the need to respect and value women in society in her emotional speech.

The school was lauded for bringing together such a relevant and spectacular show despite numerous academic and non-academic activities. The audience was overwhelmed to see each of the 250 participants savoring their accomplishment together on the stage.
