REPORT OF ORIENTATION PROGRAM CLASS VI

(2015-16)

Stepping into the middle section is a turning point in a child’s life. These are the formative years which are both crucial as well as exciting, where in the child comes across varied experiences. To ensure this smooth transition, our school conducted an orientation program on 18 April 2015 for the parents of students of class 6^th to guide them about how to handle this delicate period and ensure a positive atmosphere for learning as well as cooperation between parents, teachers and students.

The program started with a melodious rendition by the students of middle section. Honourable Principal Mr. Ashok Pandey addressed the gathering with his valuable words of wisdom. He narrated beautiful stories to make the parents sensitize towards the needs of the children at this important stage of their life.

Presentations by experts in various fields were delivered, the first being ‘Middle Section- An inspirational Stage’ by the Section In Charge Ms. Dimple Puri in which she guided the parents about the various changes that they will observe in their child and how to encounter them effectively followed by a power-point presentation by Ms. Sunanda, Ms. Divya and Ms. Sumedha on academics, assessment and evaluation criteria, co-curricular activities, followed in the middle section.

The programme was concluded by senior school Vice Principal Ms.Sangita Maliwal by giving valuable tips on the ‘Code of Conduct’ expected from students at middle school level and encouraged the parents to play a proactive role in their child’s holistic development.The Orientation session received an over whelming response from the parents and proved to be a healthy interactive session between two important stakeholders i.e. parents and teachers.
